Trinity Enrich is a day conference to enrich and equip women serving Jesus at their churches. Whether you’re a Bible study leader, kids’ church teacher, pastors’ wife or volunteer in other ministry, come along to be encouraged by Bible talks, interviews, hands-on workshops, fellowship and networking with like-minded women.

Main Speaker – Liana Hunt

Jesus calls his disciples to deny themselves and take up their cross daily. But if I give up everything for Jesus, how will I have what I need? Please join us for Enrich 2025 where Liana Hunt will speak from Luke 12, where Jesus challenges his disciples about possessions and comforts them with God's provision.

Liana was born in Sydney but Perth feels like home after 28 years. Liana did ministry training with AFES and studied at Trinity alongside her husband Jeff. They now serve together at North Coast Church. Trinity grew her love for the Bible and confidence to read it with women. Liana and Jeff have been blessed with four children, now aged 6, 9 ,12 and 14. She enjoys reading, friends, baking and being outdoors with her very loud family.

Workshops

There are two opportunities to attend workshops during the day. The options are below. Please select one morning option and one afternoon option.

Morning Workshops (choose one):

Working Well in Teams Part 1

Why do some teams thrive and others flounder? How well your team works can make ministry a joy or turn it into a slog. In this workshop we’ll cover what can improve the experience of being on a team and how well they function. Suitable for both team members and those leading ministry teams.

Clare Deeves works at Kallaroo Anglican Church, particularly ministering alongside the women there and thinking about what training might be of benefit to the church. She also lectures part-time at Trinity, teaching Christianity in History and has completed her PhD on working relationships between women employed in complementarian ministry teams and the senior pastor who they work with.

Group Dynamics in Bible Studies

Leading a Bible study is a wonderful privilege but leading a group can also be very daunting.  There might be those who talk a lot or those who don’t talk at all, those who have endless questions, and those who share about anything and everything in between.

This workshop will help both new and experienced leaders to think through group dynamics, so we can be better equipped to lead people with different personalities and levels of Bible knowledge and manage different group sizes and other dynamics. We want to grow groups who build each other up in understanding and applying God’s word together.

Eryn-May Wicks first trained as a primary school teacher and then at theological college. After over 10 years of working full time in church ministry, she is now back in the classroom teaching biblical studies. She has had the opportunity to lead many different Bible study groups over the years and can confidently say no group is ever the same, but every group can grow us be more like Jesus.

Marriage in Perspective: A framework for when life doesn't turn out as expected

In this workshop we will look at what the Bible says about the purpose of marriage and apply it to how we live in this messy world of relationships this side of heaven. If being married is not all you hoped, if singleness feels like a cross you bear, if you’re dealing with the grief of divorce, if you’re confused about whether remarriage after divorce is ‘ok’... This workshop will not necessarily have easy answers, but hopefully it will equip you to think about how to live for Jesus when life doesn’t seem to be ‘happily ever after’.

Michelle Underwood is married to the sexy minister of St Edmund’s Anglican Church Wembley. She and her husband both studied theology together at Moore College and have been in paid ministry for 30 years, walking through life with many people as they navigate singleness, marriage, widowhood, divorce, remarriage and all the joy and pain those things bring. During the week she is a Christian Studies high school teacher, and loves holding out to teenagers the hope giving, life changing wonder of God’s grace for us in the gospel.

Afternoon Workshops (choose one):

Working Well in Teams Part 2

This workshop follows on from Part 1 where we’ll dive deeper and cover some specific examples of what makes a team work well.

*Attendance at part 1 is a pre-requisite for this workshop

Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse is a common problem in our society, but it also tragically occurs both to and by those who attend our churches. We hope this introductory workshop will better equip our churches to recognise it and respond in a way that honours Christ. Co-presented by Bianca Davies and Sarah Pomphrey.

Bianca Davies has long had a ministry of pastoral care, prayer and giving Biblical counsel, particularly with women. She has a certificate in Biblical Counselling through CCEF (Christian Counsellors and Educators Foundation, USA), a Bachelor of Ministry and a Diploma in Social Science (Counselling). She works as a counsellor at Crossway Counselling.

Sarah Pomphrey is originally from the UK and has been involved in Christian high school education in Perth for over 15 years. She has also completed a Master of Arts in Counselling (CCEF/Westminster Theological Seminary) and counsels privately whilst still teaching. She particularly likes working with individuals facing trauma, abuse, and conflict-based relationships. She is also committed to helping churches develop stronger pastoral care through a biblical counselling approach.

Helping Young Women at your Church to Follow Jesus

This workshop aims to encourage and equip you to disciple young women (18-25 yrs) in your church context. Titus 2 encourages older women to train younger women, but what can we offer young adults, and how do we go about it?  Be prepared to listen and discuss some ideas, as well as share your experiences so that we can sharpen each other in this area.

Jen Rowland worked as a Coastal Engineer and a Maths teacher before joining CRU West this year to share Jesus with the next generation through school lunchtime groups and holiday camps. Jen loves opening the Bible with young people and seeing God at work in them. Jen has one husband and two young adult daughters and enjoys encouraging the young women at Kallaroo Anglican Church.
